About Us

 The Parker Family Scholarship is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt organization, Tax ID #86-1414228. This organization was created to honor deceased family members by assisting Richmond Public School students with the financial burden of a college education. Our goal is to grow the scholarship every year so that we can help as many students as possible. We would love for you to partner with us in this goal. There are also many ways to help the students of Richmond such as the Richmond Public School Education Foundation which also provide scholarships and other assistance to Richmond Public School students. There is also the ability to fund projects in the class with DonorsChoose. If you know of a high school senior, pass the word.  A very special thanks goes to Weisserman Group for partnering with us to provide scholarships to the students of Richmond.

Scholarship Recipients for 2023

The Parker Family Scholarship is pleased and honored to announce the 2023 scholarship award winner. Congratulations to all of the applicants and the award winner. This year's winner excelled in the classroom as well as her community. She can be viewed as an agent of change and someone we will hear a lot from in the future.

The Parker Family Scholarship is presented this year to Sydney Wright. Sydney graduated from Richmond's Open High School and plans to attend Norfolk State University where she plans to major in Journalism. One of Sydney's goals which her education will help her to accomplish is to give a voice to the voiceless. We look forward to and happy to be a part of Sydney's journey.
